Halloween 2009

I know it is a bit late but you have to see these pictures they are seriously so funny of Tom. Oh how he makes me laugh, every year we have a Halloween party and Tom borrows a costume from his aunt Chris and seriously the second Tom puts a costume on he is in character. The girls love it!

Bree is in Kindergarton and the afternoon session has their own little parade for the school and the parents. Bree was so excited to be a tree fairy this year! And Sophie was just happy to be herself a Princess.

Yup that is Tom on his toes. My girls have to get this from somewhere!!

Tom had to show his cousin how to ride this skateboard and I was laughing so hard I think we all were crying. Hooray for Large Ballerina's that can shake their butts!!

I feel a little better Now!!

Why am I posting a picture of a supermodel on my blog because seriously look at her belly button! I have a belly button that likes to stick out at least half of all my pregnancies and here is the list of reasons why it makes me crazy....

1. Comments of how the Turkey is done. Seriously why?
2. Some people feel it is an open invite to poke at my belly and say things like "pop" and then they giggle.
3. "Oh sweetie you must have and outie". No I do not have an outie belly button and seriously so what if I did my girls both have really cute outie belly buttons that are adorable. But I just shake my head and say "yes" with all the sweet happiness I can muster up!
4. Suggestions which is fine from people that I know and have friendships with but total strangers telling me I should tape it down. I would like to see how they would feel with a ginormous belly and then a piece of tape holding your belly button in. I am already really uncomfortable so the idea of wearing another layer or anything across my huge belly makes me want to die. I almost took Tom's head off last night at family dinner for slapping my butt so don't mess with me:)

There are so many more comments that make me think who seriously says crap like this to people when obviously it's not a time that you walk up to a prego person and comment. Usually I just let stuff like this slide but then I saw the picture of one of the most beautiful women in the world in my opinion, not to mention a body that is amazing, and oh my gosh her belly button sticks out. Oh and she does not tape it, and I almost guarantee people do not go up and poke her or ask her if she has an outie. "Heavens No"

I might just have this picture printed on a shirt and wear it every day for the rest of this pregnancy.

On a brighter note Halloween pics to come and you will not be disappointed because I have a video of Tom that will make you laugh so hard!!

The Last Month or so...

It has been a while since my last blog entry and after I loaded all my pics on my computer I realized that some of them are blog worthy!! And this will be a long post beware!

Over UEA we went to St. George for a week with some buddies:) and the girls had a blast. Here are some of the wonderful things we did while on vacation.

  • Bree and Sophie could swim every day in the pool.

  • Boating and swimming at the Lake

  • Sleeping in Bunk Beds made Bree and Sophie's stay super exciting and nice.

  • Sophie and Bree both having fun with dad on wave runners and 4 wheelers at Sand Hollow.

  • Sophie playing an arcade game where you sling a penny at a small jar and if you get it in the jar you win 220 tickets. It was so great to watch the tickets come and come forever, we just wish it was money instead!!

  • Tom rolling a 4 wheeler with Drew on back over his head. He looked awesome when he walked through the door! Oh and it made him pass out but good thing he is not a sissy because he is OK!

  • Shopping for the baby and Christmas.

  • Beating Drew, Koby and sometimes Tom at Mario Kart.

To the Happiest couple on the trip! these first few pictures had us all laughing so hard because they look so cute!

After We came home from St. George Bree made sure we new Halloween was approaching, so we have done a couple of fun spooky things because Bree just loves everything Halloween, which I can't blame her. First I took them to see the witches at Gardner Village and we ran from witch to witch and they both had to have their picture taken with all of them. We stopped at the candy shop and they both purchased some yummy treats to celebrate. Bree was really having a blast and I think you can tell in the pictures that she was in heaven.

Now for the last part of this entry we went to Cornbellys, which the girls seriously loved. We really wanted to pick our own pumpkins but we found out later that they did it last year but were not doing it this year. The girls still loved everything else, especially the spook houses. Tom would run ahead and scare all of us half to death but they were giggling so hard it was hilarious. Bree would say "I don't want to do that again ever", and then ten minutes later she would want to do it again. The hay ride was spooky and Sophie almost died when a snake jumped up out of nowhere. Both girls dressed up and sat in the pumpkin carriage and thought that was great. Bree begged us to do the Larry H Miller maze but Tom refused because supposedly it is supposed to take over an hour. Tom's favorite part was the giant pillows that you could jump on, he was giddy and having a blast bouncing all the kids around him. I was sad that due to the lights all my pictures at the pillows did not turn out. At the end we let the girls pick out a pumpkin and headed home exhausted and happy! Both girls slept with their pumpkins by their beds that night!

Bree's First day of Kindergarton

Friends Bree and Havana

Bree has been looking forward to this day for so many months I just can't believe that it came as fast as it did. I think the summer flew because I was so sad that my baby was going to grade school this year. I know that I will miss her more than she will miss me, but I know that's sad but good because she is so ready for school every day.

Today we started with a fun doc appointment for mom but after I let her choose a restaurant for lunch. If you know Bree you know that since Noodles has been around it has been one of her favorites because of their yummy Mac N Cheese. After lunch it was time to go to school and have all her pictures taken in front of school. Weird to think that in 2022 she will graduate....it just seems so far away, but I am sure it will fly by just like the last five years have. I was proud of myself for not crying, and really I did not see any other mom's crying so that was a good start. I am a little nervous about the bus ride home but I am sure she will be fine because two of our neighbor girls are going to make sure she gets on the right bus. On the way to school I double checked that she knew our phone number just in case!! I can't wait for her to get home so I can hear about everything.

Shock

Today was our ultrasound and Tom and I were expecting a girl of course. Why you ask...

  1. We have two girls obviously.
  2. Midwife tells me the heart beat is fast which is usually means its a girl.
  3. Draino test is completely different from Celeste's which showed she is having a boy and it was correct.
  4. I was sick just like I was with the girls
  5. Bree's Kindergarten teacher tells me yesterday that I have a 90% chance that it is a girl.
  6. I swear the tech today said something to the effect of "and here is her heart", and at that point I look at Tom and say I think it is a girl.

Well then the really nice tech shows us all the cute little butt( which I seriously could not see) and then she says.....

IT'S A Boy!!!

At that point I almost jumped off the table and I think I said something like no way it has to be a girl because of the above. We sat there in shock while we watched the tech have a battle with the little guy to see his brain and heart (which are good). Then the sweet tech, which I say because she never acted annoyed the entire time I asked her if everything was OK about a million times like a child asking for a treat or something. I would have screamed lady shut up your baby looks good I will let you know if something is wrong. Anyways, she leaves and in a little while the doc comes in and yet again says yes this is a boy.

Tom is now drifting into fantasy land called Football with this little guy and the poor child has to wear 49ers apparel, which I told Tom it has to be the new colors otherwise he will not wear it. He agreed
