Funny Kids

Bree has been doing swim lessons for the last couple of weeks, and usually around 4:30 I take her upstairs and I help her get ready. Anyways, yesterday I tried letting her do it all on her own and she did a fabulous job. So today I do the same thing and this is what she came downstairs in. I could not stop laughing and she was so serious and excited to go to swim lessons in this outfit. Kids are freakin cute!!

Then my little Sophie who has had a bad diaper rash ran around for a little while tonight to get some fresh air on her owie as she tells me every time I change her diaper. Anyways she proceeded to dance and hold her bum for the longest time, and we all were just laughing and watching her. Then she kept telling me "thank you", "thank you" like I had been torturing her for her entire life with these diapers. It was pretty funny to see her ride her fire engine with her bare bum, she loved it and freaked out when I finally tackled her to put her diaper on.

Summer fun!!

These are some pictures of Bree and Sophie at the Farm at Thanksgiving point with our good friends Anna, Thyce (I hope I spelled his name correctly), and Stacey. We had so much fun and Bree was able to ride a pony for the first time so thanks Oppermans for letting us tag along!! Sophie also had her first encounter with "Bob the Whale" our little kiddie pool. I think when water comes out of Bob's spout it really scares her but at least Ty loved it! We also talked Bree into trying skiing but by the time her ski's were on and she was out and ready she was already done. Even after we all tried to brib her with anything and everything possible the little stinker would not stop freaking out. We are hoping that by the end of the summer she will have tried. Also I was able to get Sophie's hair into a ponytail yipee! It is so weird because by the time Bree was one she had had a haircut every month with Tom and was sportin a ponytail by like three months... So funny how they are so different!! Bree has also had so much fun playing with her friend Avery from preschool there is a picture of them coloring together they are such cute friends!

St. George

So this is a little late but about a month ago we went to St. George camping and boating with some friends and seriously had so much fun even though it was 120 degrees by 7:00 in the morning!! After Sophie had a terrible night sleep we had a great morning on the lake with perfect water the entire time. It was amazing to be the only boat on the lake!! After that the weather did not allow us to boat again so we all went hiking. Bree loved every second of the hiking, and on day two of bad weather we did a little hike or should I say all the little people did the climb up this Narrow crack!! Tom and Bree went up together and when I reached the top to meet them only Bree had made it out!! The weather turned for the worst so we went bowling which is always fun, and it was Sophie's first time.

Bee's Game

We went to the Bee's game last Thursday night and we had so much fun!! Tom, Bree, Sophie and I rode Trax down to the stadium and met the rest of the crew in our great seats. We ate yummy hot dogs, corn dogs, cheese fries, and Bree's new favorite cotton candy. The girls loved the Bee's mascot Bumble and Sophie would go crazy for him every time he would come out. Towards the end of the 7th inning we went with Ty and Celeste to ride the free train they have for little kids. When we came back to our seats Kevin and Tom were of course trying to get free goodies from the Bee's girls in front of us. The girls completely ignored them!! It was great fun, but we did miss our friends Robbie and Tenley and Brooks who were supposed to come but maybe next time:)

Bree's first Dance Recital

A couple of weeks ago Bree had her first dance recital and seriously I had so much fun watching her experience all the fun. Bree and I had to go early for her dress rehersal, and thank heavens Celeste took care of Sophie for me because I would have gone mad with her there!! Anyways Bree takes dance from my teacher that I took from since I was three. It is so funny to hear Nancy(her teacher) scream because I remember it and at first it would give me butterflies in my stomach like I was in trouble again. Bree was amazing, I thought she would be scared of all the lights and the big stage but she loved it. My mom came down and took me and Bree to dinner and then I had so much fun getting Bree ready for her big debut. She loves makeup so I let her have everything even mascara!! I then dropped her off backstage with some of the older girls and then watched her do her thing on the stage. Of course I thought she was the best and it will be fun to see if she enjoys dancing as much as I did. Here is one of the scrapbook pages I have done. I love her funny pose because she loves to do all these weird poses whenever I take pictures of her and I think it comes from watching Americas Next Top Model with me it is so funny.

Also everyone asked how I did all the pictures from the wheeler farm post and I will try to explain as much as possible how to do it. So most of the pictures were blury so I had to be creative to try to fix them. So I use photoshop Elements(the free version for 30 days!!) but if you have any of the fancier ones I bet they would work better. Anyways, I played around with different filters and so you can add sepia or black and white or pink ect. there are a ton of different ones. You just click on those and it will layer it on your picture super easy!! The pink ladies picture is a little bit trickier so if you are interested let me know and I can try to explain. But it is pretty cool because you can have any black and white picure or sepia and then bring out any flowers of rosy cheeks or whatever and make the color show through the picture.I love photoshop and I really just play around and try different things and then tada you have something kinda cool. Also there are so many tutorials out there that take you step by step on how to do things from croping a picture to whitening teeth.

Wheeler Farm

Last week we went to Wheeler Farm with Bree's Preschool class and these are some of the cute pictures of Bree and her friends. Bree had so much fun feeding the Sheep and watching the farmer rub the pigs down. She was terrified of the tractor and finally her teacher was able to get her on it for a picture. After we had a picnic with her class, most of the kids went and fed the ducks bread. I think all the animals were so active because it was 9:00 in the morning which really made Sophie happy because she was able to talk to the sheep with her wonderful bark!! She has dog sounds and sheep sounds mixed up it was hilarious!! Bree has made some great friends at preschool and almost every day she asks me which friend she gets to play with today. Thank heavens all the girls are in the same class next year otherwise I think Bree would probablly have been fine but confused about where all her friends were.
