Lake Mead/ Lake Las Vegas

Last week over Memorial day we were invited to go with my brother and his family down to Lake Mead. We love Lake Mead and so of course we were stoked to get out on the boat somwhere with nice warm water, and we stayed in the most amazing town home in Lake Las Vegas. I am not use to showering and actually blow drying my hair after a perfect day on Lake Mead but I really enjoyed that part; oh and sleeping in a bed that was comfy cozy yahoooo! The water was amazing and both of the girls went tubing and wake surfing(with Tom of course) and had a blast with their cousins. I kept telling Bree that I was sad because I don't think she said more than 10 words to me the entire trip because she was so in heaven with Dylan, Olivia, and Elena but who wouldn't they are so adorable. One morning we woke up with Sophie walking into our room crying for mom and so I thought maybe she had slept on the floor in with Bree and Olivia. That entire day Bree and Olivia were on a search to solve the case. Not only was this very dramatic we had a musical section of Bree and Olivia singing back and forth to eachother on how Sophie sneaked out of mommy and daddy's room. We had so many wonderful meals and went into Vegas so that the kids could see the Atrium and Water show at the Balagio. It was a trip full of fun and Sophie saying "Oh My Gosh" the enitre time. Me and Stacey somehow came home with fryed shoulders but it was all worth the pain!!
Tom and Bree Surfing

Sophie, Tom, Dylan and Olivia tubing. Sophie waved at us the entire time she loved it!

Bree does not like to go fast but she tried.

Stacey, Elena, and Sophie

Cute girls

So my camera sucks and all the shots of Tom and Sophie surfing were blurry, oh and I forgot to push record on the video camera. SUCKS! She had so much fun and wanted it to be her turn every time!

Tom and Sophie starting

Eating doughnuts in the car to Mead

Lake Las Vegas had the most amazing pool for little ones and Sophie and Elena loved it.

In and Out Burger of Course

This is a Golf course in Lake Las Vegas that they have shut down and I saw all these balls in the little lake so Tom was able to pick up 35 nice golf balls. People I am sure thought we were the craziest people in the world.

I am a Skier but I tryed this wake surf thing that everyone loves and I enjoyed it as long as the water was smooth. I don't do bumpy water!! I still have to hold the rope:)

Happy Mothers Day to Amanda

I just want to get on and wish Amanda a happy mothers day.
Amanda you are the best mother around. She puts our two little sweethearts in front of everything. Sometimes parents (like me) put our own selfish things ahead of their kids. Amanda is not that way! If any thing comes up that conflicts with her kids, its always her kids. If she had a big party to go to and Bree or Sophie weren't feeling good, she would miss the party in a heart beat. As a working dad, sometimes it is hard for me to comprehend all that she does on a daily basis. I just take care of breakfast one morning (mothers day) and I feel like I have been just worked to the ground. She is a great example, teacher, and most of all she loves our girls more then life itself. I know I don't tell you enough, but you are a great Mom and our kids are very lucky.
For mothers day Bree was so excited to do three things:
Give Mom her scarf she made for her
Give Mom a heart necklace
Make Mom breakfast in bed(she kept assuring me that she would tip toe in and wake me up)

Making the pancakes

Making the whip cream
WE LOVE YOU
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Happy Birthday Bree!!

Happy Birthday to My Best Friend Bree!

Bree turns five today and it makes me

so happy that I have had the sweetest, most loving, forgiving, and beautiful

princess for these last five years. I have a hard

time

even remembering life without you in my life. I know how lucky I am

to be your mom because you really are amazing.

I just love your zest for life and watching you grow up and become

an independent little girl has been so exciting.

Bree no words can express how much I love and adore

you, and you will always be my best friend (even when you are 16

and you wish I was not your mom).

Sophie Turns 2

I am the luckiest mom in the World to get sweet kisses from this little girl every day for the last two years! {Seriously I am}

This is how Sophie watches her movies when we are downstairs.

Sophie

Happy Birthday little chickie-do! You are such an amazing little person that makes me laugh as much as you make me scream, but I love you all the same!!

Here are some tidbits about Sophie..

  • Begs to wear a dress every day
  • Would eat a jar of pickles every day if I let her.
  • We have to sing two songs before she goes to sleep every night. (You are my Sunshine & Ba Ba Black Sheep)
  • Loves all her babies even if it is a pretend baby made out of wipes.
  • Lets you know how she feels about anything and everything by crying, screaming, or just telling you.
  • Likes her owies to be hidden under shirts, pants whatever as long as she can't see it.
  • Loves to eat my food
  • Likes to hide under our bathroom sink
  • Loves her big sister Bree and seriously wants to be just like her.
  • Loves Tinkerbell
  • Loves to play with her cousins and her little buddy Ty Guy!
  • She copies everything and anything that anyone does (So we have to be careful around her).
  • Loves to play with bugs
  • She loves to read books with mommy and Bree, but her favorite book is "Don't be Greedy Graham" because the pigs take Graham away. She always talks about Graham.

Sophie we love you so much and hope you have a wonderful Birthday!!!

Bree Learns to Ride Her Bike!

Last week was so Nice outside so

we dusted off the bikes and

to our surprise I asked Bree

if she was ready to take her

training wheels off and she told me
"NO!"

so I told her that big girls ride bikes

(This usually does not work with her)

so then she said I want to.

My reply was "no your not ready

I don't want to hear you cry and then beg us to

put the training wheels back on."

Dad steps in and two seconds later

the small wheels that keep Bree up are off and

Tom and Bree start the training.

Five to ten minutes go by and she is able to

ride her bike with dad only catching her if she falls.

By the end of the hour she was a pro!

Only two pair of pants have been ruined from falling

but Bree is so proud of herself,

and sad that the last couple of days have been cold.

Best Valentine Ever

This is What Tom and I received in the mail from one of our favorite people in the World. Tom and I don't really believe in celebrating Valentine's day because you should love everyone every day and show them every day yada yada yada.... but this made us so happy and we literally laughed about it all night long. What a sweet girl my little Bree is.

Happy Valentines Day!
